HOOSIER HYSTERIA BEGINS

Hoosier Hysteria started yesterday with sectional play.  I visited New Washington (IN) last evening to watch the first round of the sectional there. Below were the winners.

  • NEW WASHINGTON-49  SELLERSBURG ROCK CREEK-47
  • CHRISTIAN ACADEMY OF NEW ALABANY-51  MADISON SHAWE-17

The winners advance to the semifinals on Friday with New Washington taking on Lanesville at 6:00 PM while Christian Academy will play Elizabeth South Central. The championship game will be Saturday at 7:30 PM with the winner advancing to next week's regional. The top players based on college potential were:

BUTLER'S GIRLS (KY) IN QUEST OF 2ND STRAIGHT STATE TITLE

Monday evening I took in the 6th Regional Tournament Game between Louisville Butler (KY) and Louisville Moore (KY).  Butler destroyed Moore by a score of 81 to 20 and will now face Louisville Mercy (KY) in the semi-finals this Wednesday at 5:00 PM at Valley High School in Louisville. Butler is cruising towards their second consecutive state championship and is ranked among the Top 25 teams in the latest USA Today national poll. Below were the top players based on college potential.
