ALL "A" CLASSIC (KY) BEGINS TODAY

The Bluegrass State is only one of three states that do not have a class system in basketball. The reason for Kentucky not going to classes is the All "A" Classic which is being played today through Sunday in Frankfort for both boys and girls. The small schools not only get to play in this tournament but are eligible for the main event (Sweet 16) come March. Thus, they get to have their cake and eat it too!  Click below to view the brackets.

2 LOUISVILLE GIRLS' TEAMS IN USA TODAY POLL

Two Louisville (KY) schools are in the latest USA Today's Super 25 Team Poll. Male has been in the Top 25 since the first week of January but Butler cracked the Top 25 this week by defeating previously undefeated Lombard Montini Catholic (IL) this past Saturday in the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic in Louisville. Butler and Male could meet this Saturday in the championship game of the Louisville Invitational Tournament being played this week in Louisville.
